Edison Teen Reportedly Drove Nearly 100 MPH Before Crash

Three people were killed early Tuesday morning in a car crash on Route 27 near Stony Road in Edison.

The 15-year-old boy who was killed in a Tuesday car crash on Route 27 was reportedly driving almost 100 MPH before the crash occurred, sources toldΒ NJ.com.

Unidentified law enforcement officials claim Srijan Saha, a 15-year-old sophomore at John P. Stevens High School in Edison, was driving his parents' 1995 Honda Civic at speeds of nearly 100 MPH and did not slow down before crossing over into an oncoming lane of traffic on Route 27 near Stony Road, according to the report.

He collided with a 2011 Nissan Altima driven by Mohammad Zia, 46, with passenger Ali Behzad, 35, both of Edison, who were both killed.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office has classified the case as a homicide-suicide.

Unidentified sources have also claimed that Saha was found with a suicide note written on his arm, according to NJ.com.
