Five Things to Do in Woodbridge This Weekend

It's never too early to begin planning for the weekend.

1. St. James School seeks clothing donations for its fall clothing drive. Clean out your closet and donate new and like new clothing articles and shoes at the school all weekend, starting Friday. Click the link above for dropoff times.

2. Let's get this Halloween party started! On Saturday, Oct. 12, you've got two choices: The Woodbridge Ghost Walk departs every 15 minutes from Parker Press Park between the hours of 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Saturday and again on Saturday, Oct. 19.Β Admission is $5.Β 

Saturday is also the day of the first annual Vampire and Zombie Walk. Dress in your Halloween finery and meet at the township Board of Education offices at 5 p.m. for a parade around the town.

3. Woodbridge Elks Lodge 2116 will host a comedy night at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Admission is $25 and includes two drinks.

4.Β  The Elks are also having a breakfast buffet fundraiser from 8-11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at 655 Rahway Ave., Woodbridge. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-9 and free for children under 5.

5. Head over to Metuchen High School at 11 a.m. Sunday for the 5th Annual YMCA Tot Trot and Youth Fun Run. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Child Care Services Branch of the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge & South Amboy.
