Lois has Left the Building!

School politics or just time to go?

After decades of service to the Woodbridge School District, it appears Ms. Lois Rotella has resigned, effective immediately, from her position as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools.

Her resignation and the manner in which it was tendered  comes as a surprise to many.  Certainly, many want to know why Ms. Rotella  took this action. Some question if her resignation is in anyway connected to the State's investigation of test scores at certain schools in the District?

Has the State concluded its investigation and, if so, when will the District publish those findings?

Perhaps, few would be surprised to learn the relationship between certain members of the BOE, the Superintendent of Schools and Ms. Rotella was reportedly far from harmonious. If true, might that have been a contributing factor in Ms. Rotella's departure.  We may never know.

In closing, I thank Ms. Rotella for her years of service to the School Dictrict and wish her the best in whatever she has planned for the future.
