Got a Creative Kid? There Are Big Prizes in 'H2O' Water Contest

If your child is creative, Middlesex Water Company is running a contest they won't want to miss for some nice $$$ prizes.

Get to know H2O?

That's what  wants students in grades 5 to 12 to do by participating in their “Get in the Know About H20!” Contest.

Individual students or groups of students in a class project are being asked to create a fun and compelling 60-second presentation in either video, audio, or PowerPoint formats to raise awareness about the value of tap water. The presentations should inspire the public to get to know about how water affects their lives.

Students can choose one or more of the following themes for their entry:

  • The role clean drinking water plays in our quality of life, fire protection, and in our communities;
  • The dedication of water utility employees who ensure water quality and repair mains in all kinds of weather;
  • The importance of maintaining the vast network of underground pipes to ensure reliability;
  • The need to use water wisely and protect our drinking water sources from pollution.

All submissions must incorporate the tag line “Get in the Know about H2O” in some way.  Judges will consider the originality of message content and thematic approach; creativity in execution, and the persuasiveness of the presentation in choosing winners.
