Small Business Benefits from Interior Design

Small businesses can benefit greatly by taking the time to freshen their surroundings and create an environment that reflects their culture, core values, energy and business as a whole.

Small businesses can benefit greatly by taking the time to freshen their surroundings and create an environment that reflects their culture, core values, energy and business as a whole. There are ways to turn what you offer as a small business into a creative design solutions for the environment in which you do business.
ย
Think of what your business offers, that which is unique, how you can exploit it and turn it into a creative marketing ploy for your business. Create a space so unique, anyone who walks into it cannot help but talk about it; not only while they are there, but when they leave too. Free marketing in the form of word of mouth!

Start by decluttering and orgazining the space. Dont keep what you do not need. Getting rid of the clutter will increase the positive energy in the space and allow you to focus on your business. As they say; cluttered desk, cluttered mind! This holds true for the office space as a whole.

Reassess your walls: Think of your walls as a blank canvas for a marketing opportunity for your business. Photos of work you have done or products you have produced can be printed on all sorts of mediums these days; canvas, aluminum or even printed to vary in sizes, large to small.Take your logo and be creative; apply it to a brick focal wall as graffiti art or spray it on burlap and create curtains for your entry. Have your business name printed on fabric and create custom throw pillows for your waiting area or as a pattern applied to furniture. This repetitive nature of your logo throughout the space will instill your brand, instead of being only on your entry sign. Custom wall murals are also a fabulous way to take something that is reflective of your business and
create a piece of unforgettable art.

Another option is to add color. Turn the colors you use in your business logo into the colors in your entry way, to welcome your clients into your space and rebrand yourself subconciously. If the colors work well together on a sign or business card, they can easily be applied to the space in subtle or eye popping ways; whichever
fits your needs. Take your brightest color and create a focal wall. Or find a patterned wall vinyl that incorporates all of your logo colors and add that to your office.

Its all in the details. Keep in mind that the small touches throughout the space can make a world of difference to those entering for the first time. Fresh flowers or plants can brighten up a space and increase indoor air quality. Found objects are a great way to reiterate what you do to your clients. For instance, if you are a film company, you can place antique cameras around the space. If you are a radio station, an antique radio can be the perfect conversation piece. If you create and market health drinks, having the natural ingredients in glass vases for your clients to see can be a great way to brand yourself throughout
the space.
