Strong Winds and Rain Today til Noon

See that driving rain and wind? It's not letting up until noonish.

The National Weather Service has issued a weather advisory for the driving wind and rain that has pelted the central New Jersey area since early morning.

Doppler radar indicated that more than an inch of rain fell during the overnight period. Another quarter to a half inch of rain is expected before the clouds pass by noon.

The NWS said to expect small stream flood in the Middlesex, Mercer, Somerset, and western Monmouth county areas. They also issued a warning for the flooding effects on the early morning commute.
