Mayor to Preside Over 'Spring Into Shape' Today

The first weigh-in for the dieting program with prizes starts today at the Woodbridge Community Center


The "Spring Into Shape" Weight Loss Challenge - a 12-week weight loss program for Woodbridge residents - starts today with a weigh-in at the Woodbridge Community Center. 

Mayor John McCormac, who recently suffered a broken appendage during a basketball game, is said to be attending the event.

Residents who vounteer for the weigh-in pay a $30 entry fee, and at the end of the program, cash prizes will be awarded for the biggest losers, along with other prizes and awards. The $30 fee includes a pedometer, a tee-shirt, workout classes at the community center, and nutrition classes.

The weigh-in today is from 12 noon to 3 pm; a second session will be held on Monday, April 8, from 7 pm to 9 pm.
