287 Northbound Lane in Edison Closed for Road Repairs

Morning delays are expected to be substantial in the area.

New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced that the northbound right lane of a 287 overpass near the exit for Route 27 in Edison has been closed for repairs. 

Two lanes will remain open while the third lane is closed, but delays are to be expected, especially in the morning, according to a release from the DOT. 

Southbound traffic will not be affected by the construction, according to the release.

The construction is to repair a weakened beam in the overpass. Due to the overpass's placement over NJ Transit and Amtrack tracks, train scheduled may also be affected, according to the release.
