The business community is encouraged to attend a Disaster Recovery Relief Forum on December 13. Admission is free but registration is required. The event begins at 9 am (with an 8:30 am sign-in) and coffee and donuts will be served courtesy of EisnerAmper LLC.
The forum will take place in the Junior Ballroom of the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center, 97 Sunfield Avenue, Raritan Center in Edison. Enter under the Conference Center blue awning. The forum will run through 11 am.
Find out what services and loans are available to the business community as a result of a disaster. Business representatives are invited to attend and ask questions about available resources for business loss or closure due to physical and monetary losses. Be informed about payroll and unemployment procedures; become familiar with how to file for free services and where to go for local, state and federal resources.
Presenters include representatives from FEMA, SBA, the Army Corps of Engineers, the NJ Business Action Center and the Office of Emergency Management.
The forum is sponsored by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Middlesex County Department of Business Development and Education as well as Edison Township Mayor's Office and the Edison Chamber of Commerce.
