Small Stream Flood Warning Cancelled for This Morning

The small stream flood alert the county was under has been cancelled.

The downpour that started last night has caused the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a flash flood alert for central New Jersey, including the Middlesex County area. But the tempering of the weather caused the NWS to cancel the alert at 7 am.

The warm weather of the past few days also caused the area to avoid a snowstorm that had been swept through other areas of the country.

About 2.6 inches of rain ws estimated to have fallen since yesterday; the rain is expected to stop by early this afternoon.
