2,500 pounds of food and $4,500 has already been pledged from community sponsors to benefit the township's annual Have-A-Heart Food Drive.
Mayor John McCormac held a press conference Monday at the Colonia Country Club to formally announce the drive, which runs through Valentine's Day.
Northfield Bank and the Colonia Country Club made monetary donations while Wegmans and Shoprite brought pallets of canned food, pasta and fresh fruit.
