JAG Opens New Location in Woodbridge

The physical therapy group held it's grand opening in Woodbridge earlier this month.

Whether you’ve got a nagging sports injury or are just looking to get back into fighting shape, help is now closer than you may think.

JAG Physical Therapy – an outpatient physical therapy company providing physical therapy care for orthopedic, sports, and soft tissue injuries – as well as Worker’s Compensation cases and Medicare patients – opened an office here in Woodbridge earlier this month.  The office – located at 10 Woodbridge Center Drive, Suite 102 – features six state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities.

JAG was founded by John Gallucci Jr., an expert in injury prevention, rehabilitation, sports medicine, and athletic training, in 2005, when he opened his first location in West Orange.  Gallucci, who has a doctorate in physical therapy, is currently the Medical Coordinator for Major League Soccer and the former Head Trainer for MLS’s New York Red Bulls.

“All of our patients that come in are treated hands-on by a physical therapist, they’re not just off in a corner,” said JAG Physical Therapy Marketing Director Kayla Devlin.  “All of our physical therapists are trained directly under John Gallucci, so everyone knows his method.”

Devlin also noted that the physical therapists in the Woodbridge office – and all other JAG offices – are built up through the company.  “If someone is in the Woodbridge facility,” she notes, “They started in West Orange under John Gallucci.”

Leigh Greenberg is the physical therapist at the Woodbridge office.  “We will be getting more physical therapists in Woodbridge, bur right now she is the only one on site,” said Devlin.  In addition to Greenberg, the Woodbridge JAG office employs about four other athletic trainers and aides, according to Devlin.

The decision to open a location – the company’s sixth – in Woodbridge was a community-based one, Devlin said.  “In Middlesex County, it’s very community-oriented.  Our building is right next to the community center, and we’re looking to get involved with them.”  Devlin also noted that JAG is a sponsor of the NJ Senior Olympics, which will again take place in Woodbridge, as well as last night’s performance by The Infernos at the Mayor’s Summer Concert Series.

In addition to Woodbridge, JAG also has locations in West Orange, Union, Warren, Hackensack, and Cedar Knolls.

JAG Physical Therapy is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM-5 PM and Tuesday and Thursday from 1-7 PM.
