Senior Artists Showcase Their Work at Barron Arts Center

The show, now in its 33rd year, starts on May 16.

The best artwork from Woodbridge senior citizens will be in the spotlight this week.Β 

The , now in its 33rd year, is slated to start at the on Wednesday, May 16, and running through Thursday, May 24.

The exhibition ends with a closing reception and award ceremony on the 24th, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Light refreshments will be served.

The competition was open to any township resident 60 years of age or older. Participants were encouraged to submit up to two pieces each for the show in the following mediums: oil; acrylic; watercolor; pastel; printmaking; drawings including pencil, pen & ink, chalk and charcoal; mixed media, including collage; photography, and sculpture.

The original works of art were separated into professional and non-professional categories for the judging.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 11 am to 4 pm, and weekends from 2 pm to 4 pm. Β
