'Indigenous' Tickets Still Available For Wednesday Concert

The Native American blues/rock band hits Woodbridge as part of the Music on Main series.

Tickets are still for sale for Indigenous, a blues-rock group slated to perform at the Music on Main concert series on Wednesday night, Oct. 12.

The band, originally all family members who grew up on a Native American reservation in South Dakota, released their debut album in 1998, and won three awards the following year for that effort. Featuring lead singer and guitarist Mato Nanji, they say that their music was heavily influenced by guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn as well as by Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana. Their blues albums have consistently hit the top of charts on Billboard.

The band plays at 7:30 pm at the on Main St. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, and can be purchased online. For more information, call 732-602-6015.Β
