'In Nature's Realm' Continues at the Barron

The art of Ray Skibinski will be shown at the Barron Arts Center through June 16.


The presentation of In Nature’s Realm: Works of Art by Ray Skibinski opened last week and runs through Saturday, June 16.Β 

Ray Skibinski is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Artin New York City. He worked as a graphic designer before branching out as a freelance illustrator. His work has appeared in many prominent publications such as Time/Life, Reader’s Digest, Doubleday, and Western Publishing, as well as national magazines and newspapers.

In 1992, Skibinski started exhibiting his fine art works in galleries and statewide juried exhibitions where he won best in show and awards of merit. Working in a variety of mediums including oil, watercolor, acrylic, and pen & ink, Skibinski's art is traditional in that it corresponds to the ideals of representation. At the same time, it is imbued with his own accumulated experience.

He brings together elements of dream, where surrealism and symbolism mix.

Ray Skibinki is currently teaching watercolor painting with the Oak Tree group in Edison and monitors a figure drawing class at the .
