Eric Anderson and Iain Matthews Perform Tonight at Music on Main

The folk rock artists will play at the United Methodist Church on Main St.

Master folk rock artists Eric Anderson and Iain Matthews will be joining forces and guitars for a performance tonight in Woodbridge.

The musicians are appearing as part of the Music on Main series. The concert is at 7:30 pm at the on Main St. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Anderson's career, which spans decades, harkens back to the 60s Greenwich Village folk music era. Over the years, he's created more than 25 albums with contributions from such artists as Johnny Cash, Peter, Paul and Mary, Linda Rondstadt, and Pete Seeger, among many others. He released his latest album, The Cologne Concert, earlier this year.

Matthews has a similarly lengthy career. He was born in Britain and contributed to the British pop music era of the 60s, and has performed mostly solo, but he often teams up with other artists for concerts. He released his latest album, Matthews Southern Comfort, last year.

The Music on Main Series continues on October 4 with Peter Yarrow from the famous 60 folk act, Peter, Paul and Mary. For tickets, go to the series' website, or call 732-602-6015.
