Thomas Edison Rest Stop Ranked Fifth Busiest in Northeast, Busiest in NJ for Thanksgiving

Foursquare check-ins during last year's Thanksgiving travel season were used to create a list of the most-trafficked rest stops in the country.

Pull over: the Thomas Edison Service Area in Woodbridge ranked as the fifth busiest rest stop n the entire northeast for Thanksgiving week, and is the busiest in all of New Jersey, according to USA Today.

According to the report, the list was compiled by counting the volume of Foursquare check-ins at rest stops throughout the country between Nov. 20-25 2012.

In addition to the Thomas Edison Service Center, three other NJ Turnpike rest stops were featured on the list of busiest stops in the northeast: the Molly Pitcher Service Area in Cranbury, the Vince Lombardi Service Area in Ridgefield and the Joyce Kilmer Service Area in East Brunswick.

The busiest rest stop in the entire northeast is the Delaware Welcome Travel Plaza, according to the list.
