Junior Fishermen Turn Out in Droves for Annual Fishing Derby

Who knew there were this many aspiring fishing aficionados in Woodbridge?

Dozens of children and families turned out for the fifth annual Frank Gagnon Memorial Fishing Derby Saturday morning at Woodbridge Park.Β  The Derby, open to children ages 16 and under, awarded prizes for biggest and most fish caught, as well as a variety of fishing-related door prizes.

The event is named for the late Frank Gagnon, an avid fisherman and environmentalist who served as chairman of the Woodbridge Housing Authority andΒ on the Middlesex County Planning Board.

Was there a little fisherman or fisherwoman you know amongst the participants? Patch was there taking photos, check them out here!
