Father's Day: 'Fuce 5K' Raises Money For Local Families In Middlesex County

More than 500 people ran in the Fuce 5K in Metuchen on Father's Day, raising money for local families and paying tribute to a local man who was the victim of tragedy six years ago.

The race is a tribute Mike Fuccile, who was murdered on Sept. 4, 2008 while on his way to work at the Merrill Lynch office in Jersey City.

He left behind his wife of 10 years, Nancy, and three children, Michael, Jack and Brooke.

Fuccile was born and raised in Toms River and lived in Metuchen for 10 years. He was a graduate of Villanova University, where he and Nancy met and he also earning a degree in accounting.

While in Metuchen, Fuccile became an integral part of the community through his service to Metuchen Little League, Metuchen Town Soccer, Metuchen Recreation Youth Basketball and so many more activities targeting the kids of Metuchen.
