Book Talk to Corned Beef & Cabbage, These Are the Five Things You Must Know!

Lots to keep you busy this St. Paddy's Day week in Five Things.

Lots of interesting book discussion groups, and top it off with green beer in honor of St. Patrick's Day:

  1. There will be a book discussion group at the tonight at 7:30 pm. The event is free and open to all. For more info, call 732-634-4450 ext. 7130.
  2. Are you a Forgotten Man? You are if you believe in the founders' notions of the Republic, the advancement of liberty, and the elimination of tyranny. The Forgotten Man book group at 7 pm at Barnes & Noble in Menlo Park Mall. The moderated group is open to all. For more info, call 732-548-4179.
  3. Wear a green shirt to the today, and get discounted skating admission. The skating starts at 6:00 pm and goes until 8:30 pm. Admission is $3, and skate rental is $4. For more info, call 732-596-4103.
  4. The Shannon Rose Irish Pub continues their week-long St. Paddy's Day festival with , a tradition celebrated at the Pub the third Wednesday of every month.  Irish Happy Hour abounds from 4 pm to 7 pm with $3 Guinesses and $9.99 corned beef and cabbage.  Jerry Piper will perform at 4 pm and Irish Rock with Dicey Riley at 9 pm.   5. "Off the Beaten Path," an art show featuring the naturalistic landscape paintings of Paul Kiesche, continues at the today from 11 am to 4 pm. Admision is free. For more info, call 732-634-0413.
