April Is 'Youth Month' In Woodbridge

From Woodbridge officials:

Mayor John E. McCormac today announced that April 2014 is “Youth Month” throughout Woodbridge Township as youth-oriented activities get underway beginning on April 1 with the Woodbridge Police Department accepting applications for the ever-popular summer Junior Police Academy and going right through the Feria de Sevila en Woodbridge Festival on April 27 at Parker Press Park.

In all, more than 60 events geared to Woodbridge Township young people will take place at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC), The Barron Arts Center, Parker Press Park, and Township schools and libraries.

Youth Month highlight events include:

April 5:             Little League Opening Day parades (Merrill Park Little League, Fords Clara Barton Little League,

Woodbridge Little League, and the Little Fellows of Colonia)

April 6:             Mayor’s Youth Volunteer Awards at the WCC

April 13:           Easter Eggstravaganza ~ Egg Painting, Easter Parade, & Pictures w/the Easter Bunny

Parker Press Park

April 19:           Earth & Multi-Cultural Day Festival at the WCC

April 21:           “Big Wheels” Day in the parking lot at Woodbridge Center Mall with more than 50 construction, police, and emergency vehicles 

April 26:           Colonia Classic 5K & Chris Jantas Fun Run from St. John Vianney in Colonia

Learn about pet care at “Kids & Pets” interactive classes at the Woodbridge Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center… Party at the Municipal Alliance Spring formal at the Evergreen Youth Center (Grades 6-8)... Special “Youth Month” events all month long at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC)… Student Art Show at the Barron Arts Center…interactive events and programs at the Woodbridge Libraries (Main Library and the Henry Inman, Fords & Iselin Branch Libraries)...
