Woodbridge Independence Day Weekend Fireworks Celebration

The annual Woodbridge Township Independence Day celebration and fireworks display was rescheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2014 when gates open at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park on the Sewaren waterfront.

The annual Woodbridge Township Independence Day celebration and fireworks display has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2014 when gates open at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park on the Sewaren waterfront. 

Alvin P. Williams Park will be closed during the day to allow for the fireworks set-up.  The gates will open to the public at 4:00 p.m.  Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged.  There is no reserved seating and no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park.

TRAFFIC ALERT ~ JULY 5 FIREWORKS:
At the conclusion of the July 5 fireworks all traffic exiting Sewaren via Ferry Street (by Moby Dick’s) will be directed to make a left turn onto State Street. Traffic will not be permitted to make a right turn onto West Avenue towards Woodbridge.  State Street traffic into Perth Amboy will be prohibited from turning right onto Maurer Road (hole in the wall) that separates the Chevron property.  Traffic will be diverted down West Ave./State Street onto Route 440, to Amboy Avenue, back into Woodbridge.
