Iselin Man Found Dead at Round Valley Reservoir

Authorities don't know what killed Christopher D. Paloti of the Iselin section of Woodbridge.


The body of an Iselin man found Thursday by a hiker at Round Valley Reservoir in Clinton Township was identified today.

Christopher D. Paloti, 23, of Iselin was found floating in the reservoir by the unidentified female hiker, who pulled the body to shore. Paloti was unresponsive, according to a report in The Express-Times, and declared dead at the scene.

Officials do not yet know the cause of Paloti's death. Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III said in a press release that no immediate determination can be made into the cause of the death until the medical examiner's report is finalized.

Palit's body was found about 2 pm on Thursday. Officials did not say if the body had suffered any trauma, but they did tell the Express-Times that the body was fully clothed.

Round Valley Reservoir is a manmade lake of 2,000 acres, and is a highly popular outdoor recreation spot. At 180 feet deep, it's the deepest lake in New Jersey.
