Piscataway Man Faces Murder Charge After Woman's Body Found in Creek

Kevin Scuccimarri was charged with the murder of Sherry Richardson on Tuesday.

A Piscataway man has been charged in the murder of his former live-in companion, Acting Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Piscataway Police Chief Richard Ivone announced Tuesday night.

Kevin Scuccimarri, 33, was charged in the death of 39-year-old Sherry Richardson, of Middlesex Borough. He was also charged with terroristic threats in connection with threats on another, unidentified individual, officials said.

Police discovered Richardson's body in a creek near Blueberry Court and Knightsbridge Road at 3:47 Tuesday afternoon, according to officials. A preliminary investigation led authorities to believe Richardson was murdered. Scuccimarri was charged following a joint investigation by the two departments, officials said. Bail was set at $1 million, and he remains in custody, according to officials.
