The owner Francisco
Almonte was introduced to tobacco by his father, a master roller for
Arturo Fuente at the age of seven. Fransisco apprenticed for Arturo
Fuente as a roller, working his way up as a supervisor, eventually to a
master blender for Arturo Fuente and Lido Gomez of La Flor Dominicana.
At the age of 37, he boldly started Dominican Big Leaguer. After testing
many blends with a group of cigar experts and his own expertise, this
it the blend that was created. A combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan
filler, the binder Dominican with an awesome Ecuadorian Habano wrapper,
the DBL is a complex and flavorful smoke with enough strength.
