The door to the century-old bank vault that stood in the center of the old Chamber of Commerce building is being auctioned off on eBay.
Want to own a ton of Woodbridge history? It's for sale right now on eBay - at least several thousand pounds of it. The bank vault door that sat in the center of former headquarters of the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce at the corner of Main and Pearl Streets for over a century is being auctioned off on eBay. The starting bid on the door is $999 for the auction that ends on April 23. But if you're in a hurry, you can buy it now for a cool $50 grand. Just one hitch: it's cash and carry. Mayor John McCormac will be giving his annual State of the Township address, to be held on Tuesday, January 29, at 12 noon at the Forge Restaurant on Route 9. In light of Hurricane Sandy that devastate sections of Woodbridge, and all the other issues affecting the township, the mayor will be addressing the business community on various topics. The township's newsletter said that he "will focus on 'Quality of Life' concerns, the economic climate of the township, and strategies for maintaining Woodbridge as the best municipality in the state in which to live, work, and play in the New Year." For the 12th consecutive year, Bizmania will be in Woodbridge today. It's the place to see and be seen if you have a business you want to grow, say the promoters of the business-centered festival. Dozens of vendors, spectators, and businesses will be in evidence at the Renaissance Woodbridge, where Bizmania runs from 2 pm to 6:30 pm. A free marketing seminar will be held from 3 pm to 4 pm. The not-to-be-missed fair comes to Main Street on May 12.
One of the best street fairs in the state is coming to Woodbridge this Saturday. The Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Woodbridge Street Fair, to be held from 11 am to 5 pm on Main Street, from Amboy Avenue to Fulton Street. It's one of the biggest street fairs in the state, with over 200 exhibitors and 25,000 fair-goers in attendance. Rides, games, tons of crafts and new merchandise are all on display, as well as all kinds of food, rides and games. Live bands will be playing as well. Parking is free (and crowded!)

Woodbridge Mayor John E. McCormac delivered his address at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
A beautiful sunny sky and warm weather set the stage for a perfect day for Mayor McCormac to deliver his State of the Township speech Wednesday. A capacity crowd filled the ballroom at The Forge on Route 9 for the luncheon, geared towards addressing the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce and business community. The Woodbridge High School choir opened the program singing the Star Spangled Banner in harmony, followed by a touching version of “I Love This Town”. Soon aferward, McCormac began his address with a tribute to two hometown heroes, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Kevin Reinhard and former Hopelawn Fire Chief Bruce Turcotte, both of whom lost their lives in the line of duty. After thanking numerous politicians and officials, McCormac …

The Woodbridge business community will hear how things are going in the township from Mayor McCormac at a Tuesday Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
Mayor John McCormac is scheduled to address the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce and business community on Tuesday, Jan. 24, with a 'State of the Township' address during a Chamber luncheon. The address, which is held under the auspices of the Woodbridge Metro chamber, will be given at a noon luncheon at The Forge Restaurant & Banquet Center on Route 9 North in Woodbridge.
