Woodbridge will holding its first Pet Expo and Adoption event today at the Woodbrige Community Center. The event is jointly sponsored by the Woodbridge Animal Shelter and the YMCA, which has its headquarters at the community center. Hours for the expo are from 12 noon to 4 pm, Sunday, November 11. The community center is located at 600 Main Street. Features slated for the event include door prizes, pet vendors, demonstrations, and pets from the shelter will be there for adoption. A Spay and Neuter van from the Associated Humane Society of Newark will be there as well. It's Valentine's Day Weekend, which we love at Five Things, and lots of neat stuff for you and the family to do. That includes wine tastings, a great performance in New Brunswick, and even an expo devoted to Bowser, the family dog. Show the pooch some love, too! The Super Pet Expo starts today and continues over the weekend at the NJ Convention Center at Raritan Center. Tickets are $13 for adults and $6 for kids, but kids tickets are free when adults' tickets are purchased online. Joe Canal's will have a wine tasting today from 4 to 6 pm. These weekly Friday events continue through March 25. The Edison Chamber of Commerce will hold an Employer Legislative Forum today at 8 am at the Renaissance Woodbridge.
