Police Release Suspect's Name and Photo in Metropark Carjacking
Edison Police are looking to question Trenton resident Bernard McIntyre in Tuesday's carjacking that started in Woodbridge and ended in Trenton.
The Edison Police Department has released the name and picture of a person of interest in the carjacking of a Woodbridge cab on Tuesday, where the driver was forced at gunpoint to drive to Trenton. Police are looking for Bernard McIntyre, 52, a Trenton resident who has been named as a suspect in the carjacking. A warrant has been issued for McIntyre on charges of carjacking and criminal restraint, said Edison Sgt. Robert J. Dudash, Jr. in a statement. The 71-year-old cab driver, who works for Scooters Taxi Service, picked up a fare at Metropark in the Iselin section of the township approximately 1 pm on October 2. Cab driving one the most hazardous jobs for the occasional dollar it pays. I'm glad the driver handled it right and stayed alive. A driver (son of an East Orange mayor) up in Essex got shot dead a few years back in a cabjacking.   more ›
