Woodbridge High School Earns $1,000 Arts Grant

Bob's Discount Furniture is making arts and education easier for WHS students with a financial grant.

Bob's Discount Furniture - along with their customers - knows something about giving back. That's just what they did recently at Woodbridge High School, when the local furniture chain gave $1,000 for the use of students at the school. Michael Klapkin, the Woodbridge store's manager, went to WHS to present the check to Lee Warren, the school principal. "It's greatly appreciated by our staff and students," Warren said as he gathered students from the art department to pose for a picture. Warren said the money will go for "books, computers and related materials." The funding came without conditions, so it's truly found money for Woodbridge High School students. Principal Says There's 'No Cheating' at Woodbridge High School

The NJ Department of Education is investigating WHS for cheating allegations on standardized tests. Principal Lee Warren says it never happened.

The NJ Department of Education (NJDOE) may be investigating Woodbridge High School based on allegations of cheating, but the school's principal said it's completely unfounded. "There's no cheating here. There's never been cheating here. We don't have that problem," said Woodbridge High School principal Lee Warren in an interview. Warren swore that there is no basis for any accusations of cheating. "I don't know anything about cheating. There isn't any cheating in Woodbridge High School," Warren reiterated. Despite 104 Degree Temps, All Three High Schools Graduations Will be Held at 2 pm Today

  Temperatures this afternoon are forecast to hit as high as 104 degrees. That'll be right around the time - 2 pm - that all three Woodbridge Township high schools will be holding their graduation ceremonies. All three will be honoring graduates and receiving guests outside simultaneously, in their respective high school stadiums.  Several thousand parents and well-wishers are expected at all three graduation commencements. The Honeywell Alert System, which notifies parents in the event of emergencies and schedule changes, sent a text that despite the expected scorching temperatures this afternoon, all high school graduations will be going off as planned.
