Romney & Christie in Blue Woodbridge Tonight - Minus County Republicans

Why is a Republican fundraiser being held in Democratic Woodbridge, with little to no interaction with local Republicans?

Two of the biggest Republicans in the country—including one who will be running for the presidency in November—will be in Woodbridge tonight. N.J. Gov. Chris Christie will be hosting the fundraiser tonight for Gov. Mitt Romney. The event will be at the Renaissance Woodbridge hotel on Route 1 in the Iselin section of the township. Beyond that, little is known about the event. In fact, it's hard to find a Republican in Woodbridge or Middlesex County who will be attending. No one seems to want to admit they're behind the fundraiser, where tickets start at $2,500. Calls to Christie's office get shifted to the Republican State Committee. They refer inquiries to Romney's campaign headquarters in Boston, where all calls get routed to voicemail…

Mitt Romney is Coming to a Woodbridge Fundraiser Next Week

If you want to see the Republican presidential nominee, get out the Amex: tickets start at $2,500.

Mitt Romney is coming to Woodbridge next week for a fundraiser, and the possible appearance in the township of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has taken most local and county Republicans by surprise.  "I had no idea," said Woodbridge Republican Chairman John Vtraric.  Romney will be at the fundraising event on Tuesday, June 26, at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel on Route 1 in Iselin, according to a report in the Star Ledger. Tickets start at $2,500 for the event. "I'm really proud he's coming to Woodbridge. We invited him twice last spring. Woodbridge is the 5th largest municipality in the state and Christie carried it," Vtraric said, adding he'll "probably go," despite the hefty price tag. So far, no one in the Romney …
