Early morning temps will be in the 20s, and that will do a number on spring!
Chilly yet? Don't let the balmy temperatures of the past few weeks fool you; winter is back with a blast today, and it's going to do a number on flowers and trees that have already begun to bloom because of the unusually warm weather. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning today from 3 am to 9 am. They are predicting below freezing temps in the mid 20s to low 30s, and are cautioning central New Jersey residents to be mindful of the temperatures with any spring plants. An unusually warm winter and an early spring has already begun, and temperatures under freezing for more than three hours can wreak havoc with foliage. These spring pictures were taken Monday around Woodbridge; we'll see what remains after the freeze passes.
