Severe Storms on the Way
A torrential downpour may be on the way in the next few hours.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood advisory for the central New Jersey area, including Middlesex County, until 7:30 pm Tuesday night. Doppler radar shows a band of heavy shower and thunderstorm activity moving from Pennsylvania into the central New Jersey area. The storms, NWS predicts, can dump as much as an inch of rain in a short amount of time. The storms may cause as much as two inches of rainfall in the next few hours. Flooding on roadways and flood-prone areas such as in sections of Woodbridge are possible, NWS says. Follow Woodbridge Patch on Facebook, Twitter and sign up for the daily newsletter.
