East Jersey Olde Towne Holds Holiday Fest

It's a great day trip, but it's even more special during the holidays.

If you've never been to East Jersey Olde Towne, you don't know what you're missing. This architectural treasure, located in Piscataway, is a collection of colonial-era buildings and reproductions, brimming with the history of Central Jersey.  It's also a perfect spot for celebrating the holidays as our Founding Fathers did in the days of yore. This year, they'll be holding special seasonal activities this Sunday, December 9, from 1 pm to 4 pm.  The day's holiday schedule includes:  1 to 2 p.m. -- Stories and Flavors from Jewish Winters Master Storyteller Rivka Willick returns with an all new mix of traditional and modern tales that span the globe. Lincoln Comes to Life Today

A free portrayal of Abraham Lincoln happens today at East Jersey Olde Town in Piscataway.

American Historical Theatre actor Bob Gleason brings Abraham Lincoln to life today at East Jersey Olde Towne in Piscataway at 2 pm. The program, sponsored by the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission.  Gleason, an actor and historian, will bring Lincoln to life.  Abraham Lincoln was a self-taught, determined, highly individualistic man who rose from poverty and was committed to the preservation of the Union.  Gleason’s portrayal enables audiences to experience the depth of Lincoln’s heart as well as his quick wit.
