Bahama Breeze to Hold Boys & Girls Club Special Fundraiser

Like to dine out? You can enjoy a great meal and help local children at the same time.

In the days right after Hurricane Sandy, the Woodbridge Community Center was a tri-county encampment for victims of the storm. One of the local restaurants that helped feed dozens of local familes was Bahama Breeze. The restaurant is still giving back to the community, and you can help (particularly if you enjoy going out to eat.) This time, they are holding a special event at their Woodbridge site to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Perth Amboy. On Monday, November 19 and Tuesay, November 20, Bahama Breeze will donate 10 percent of the restaurant's sales to the Perth Amboy club, up to a total of $2,000.  During the two-day collection, the Boys & Girls Club will have a table in the restaurant with information about the group. Bahama Breeze Opens to a Vibrant Crowd

For the second week in a row, a new restaurant on the property of Woodbridge Center opens.

The second of two restaurants opened in Woodbridge a week apart. Mall Readies to Celebrate 40 Years as Two New Dining Spots Near Completion

October is going to be a big month in Woodbridge.

Two new restaurants on the grounds of Woodbridge Center are nearing completion. Bahama Breeze and Olive Garden both started construction at the beginning of April in a distant parking lot of the mall, near Route 1 and Woodbridge Center Drive.  The two eateries are expected to be open for business by the end of October, said Amy Bellisano, senior general manager of Woodbridge Center. That will be just in time for the month-long celebration of the mall's 40th anniversary. Woodbridge Center opened for business in 1971 in what was a former clay pit. Clay mining had at one time been a huge occupation inside the township. The mall will hold events every day during October to commemorate its four decades in Woodbridge, Bellisano said. "We …
