Arts Guild New Jersey announces Artist of the Month, a new juried competition open to fine artists everywhere. Twelve artists will be chosen, each to be featured on Arts Guild New Jersey's website for one month over the course of one year. The Artist of the Month website page will include several images of the artwork, statement and current exhibit resume of each selected artists. At the conclusion of the 12 month program Arts Guild New Jersey will present an art exhibit featuring the twelve artists chosen for the first year of the Artist of the Month competition. The exhibit will be held at the Arts Guild New Jersey gallery, located at 1670 Irving Street in Rahway, NJ. The exhibit will run for approximately one month. All artworks will …

Art and fun - it doesn't get better. Classes are from August 6 through 10.
It's the last week to enroll for summer art classes for kids and teens at the Arts Guild New Jersey (AGNJ) in Rahway. Limited openings are available in drawing, painting, sculpture, and art classes. AGNJ presents a series of five-day workshops for children in five different subjects: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and Cartooning or Art Story. Each class is 90 minutes daily. Sessions in each subject will run Monday through Friday during scheduled weeks. The fee for each one-week class for children (ages 7-11) is $60. For teens, AGNJ offers two sessions of five-day classes in Manga Cartooning, Painting, and Sculpture, and one session of 5-day classes in Portfolio Development. Each class is two hours daily. Artists wanted! The First Annual Artists Contest & Exhibition entitled “Renaissance, Rebirth, Revival” is being sponsored by RSI Bank, and they are seeking artists to entered the show. The contest is open to all New Jersey artists, 18 years or older; $4,500 in prizes will be awarded based on a juried selection process. All works submitted should reflect the theme of a renewal of life, vigor, commerce, interest or hope. All entry fees as well as any commissions collected on works sold during the exhibition will be donated directly to Arts Guild NJ, a non-profit arts center located in the Rahway Arts District dedicated to presenting high level art programs to a multi county audience.
