Bruised Not Broken is doing tremendous thing in the New York City shelters, and countless dogs oweRead More their lives to Brooke and Dave, as well as the shelter volunteers who photograph them and write their bios. If you've never been to that Facebook page, check it out. It's the most riveting nightly drama on the 'Book! http://www.facebook.com/BruisedNotBrokenRescue

My sister in Iselin NJ sent this story to me in KS. I have owned Pit Bulls for almost 15 years now.Read More I absolutely love the breed. They are so misunderstood. What Austin did with Max is wonderful!! These dogs don't have a voice. Austin is now educating people about the breed. I have rescued a few Pit Bulls in my life. Currently I have one we adopted from a Pit Bull rescue. We also have a 14 1/2 yeard Pit and a 5 year. old mahouse lol.

This is sad, what's wrong with a shelter or a rescue?

If they have these injuries, it's likely that they were used for fighting/baiting. IF they were, theRead More scumbags wouldn't chance taking them to a shelter for fear of being discovered as participating in the inhumane act. Why I think they should get the book thrown at them is that these dogs could be ticking time bombs. If they were used for fighting, could you imaging if someone walked their dog near them? It could be deadly. Again, these are all "ifs" because nobody knows the story... It is just incredibly sad. Hopefully the dogs don't have emotional issues and can find good homes.
