1. Watch healthy cooking demonstrations, get your blood pressure and body mass index checked and possibly win door prizes at the Mayor’s Health Expo from 9 a.m.-noon at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza.
Free and reduced cost health screenings will be offered, including eye and foot screenings, glucose, lung function, oral cancer, osteoporosis, according to a press release from the mayor's office.
Flu shots will also be made available free to Medicare patients and at a cost of $15 for non-Medicare attendees.
Cooking demonstrations will be offered by Wegmans, according to the release.2. The Woodbridge Ghost Walk will have its final date of the year from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. Meet at Parker Press Park for a guided walk around Woodbridge Township to meet some its former residents. Tours leave every 15 minutes and cost $5 per person, which also includes a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie at Quick Chek.
3. The Woodbridge Community Center will have a free drive-in movie screening of Beetlejuice at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. Admission is free. The parking lot will open at 6 p.m. if you want to come early to grab a good spot.
