Six Fun Things to Do in Woodbridge This Weekend

It's never too early to begin planning for the weekend.

1. The Gospel Shepherds will perform a holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 at First Baptist Church of Woodbridge. 

2. Donate food to neighbors in need during the Season of Giving Food Drive to benefit food pantries throughout Woodbridge. Drop-off will be open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at a dozen locations in the township.

3. The Woodbridge High School bowling team will benefit from a breakfast fundraiser at Applebees, beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Tickets are $10. A gift basket raffle will also be held. 

4. Bring your friendly pets to the Woodbridge Animal Shelter's Sixth Anniversary Celebration and Photos with Santa. The celebration is scheduled from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. The shelter suggests a $5 donation per photo.  

5. The Colonia VFW will host Spaghetti with Santa from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for children under the age of 12. Photos with Santa and activities for children will be offered. Proceeds from the event will benefit a Colonia woman who is fighting pancreatic cancer, according to the VFW.

6. Santa will also be at Parker Press Park to meet with township children from 10-11:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.
