Writing Workshop, Tree Lightings, Winter Wonderland This Week in Woodbridge

Holiday events have begun in Woodbridge.

1. Writers in search of guidance are invited to the aptly titled "I've Finished my First Draft...Now What?" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the main branch of the Woodbridge Public Library, 1 George Frederick Plaza.

2. Raul Malo, frontman of the Grammy Award-winning group The Mavericks will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at Woodbridge Middle School. The show is presented by Woodbridge Arts. Tickets are $30.

3. The Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce will hold a holiday luncheon at noon Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin. Tickets are $45 for chamber members, $55 for non-members.

4. The Colonia Business Community will host a tree lighting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Evergreen Center. Admission is free, but donations are requested for a food drive benefiting the Woodbridge Food Drive and for a Toys for Tots holiday toy drive. 

5. The Woodbridge Township tree lighting will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at the Barron Arts Center. 

6. Colonia High School will host a family-friendly Winter Wonderland beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Tickets are $6 for 10, and $1 for an additional five.
