Board of Education and Council Meetings This Week in Woodbridge

1. The Woodbridge Board of Education will meet twice this week. At 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, the board will hold its reorganization meeting at Avenel Middle School, 85 Woodbine Ave., Avenel. 

At 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, the board will hold a public hearing on the proposed school calendar for the 2014-15 school year. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria of Woodbridge Middle School, 525 Barron Ave., Woodbridge. 

2. The Woodbridge Municipal Council will hold its reorganization meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the township municipal building. Click here to view the agenda. 

3. Poets Wednesday will be held from 8-10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 at the Barron Arts Center and will feature Paula Newcomer. A workshop will begin held at 7 p.m. 

4. Township seniors are invited to come to a Zumba class at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 at the Evergreen Senior Center, 400 Inman Ave., Colonia.
