Animal Shelter Fundraiser, NY Giant Comes to Woodbridge This Week

Here's a look at the stories we'll be covering this week in Woodbridge.

Local businesses team up with Animal Shelter: Photographer Jill Caren is working with the Woodbridge Animal Shelter and local businesses to create a township calendar featuring dogs that were adopted from the shelter. Proceeds from the calendar will benefit the shelter. Check back to see how the first year of the fundraiser went and where to get your hands on a copy.

Safer schools:
The Board of Education approved funds to install security cameras in the main lobbies and outside of doors at Township elementary schools. We’ll tell you how much is going to cause and what the cameras are capable of this week.

Former NY Giant in Woodbridge: On July 11, former NY Giant Pepper Johnson will be signing autographs at Locker Room Sports at 76 Main Street. Johnson was part of both Super Bowls XXI and XXV. Signings are $25 and begin at 7 p.m. Check the Locker Room Sports on Facebook for more information.

Mayor’s Summer Concert Series: The first concert of the series kicks off Monday night on the lawn behind Woodbridge High. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy Kenny Vance & The Planotones. Just don’t forget to bring a food for the local pantries.
