Woodbridge Animal Shelter Walk-a-thon is Coming

The volunteer group that runs the township's pet shelter and adoption center is holding their 5th Annual walk and sale fundraiser May 20.


Love animals? Then mark Sunday, May 20, on your calendar.

That's when the  is holding their 5th Annual DogWalk and Pet Fair, a substantial fundraiser for the shelter that does such great work for homeless animals in the township.

The walk begins, rain or shine, at 11 am at in Sewaren, with a 10 am check-in. From the park, all leashed pets and their owners are welcome to walk to the Animal Shelter on Woodbridge Avenue, where there will be a huge Pet Fair.

Seventeen different vendors and eight different animal rescue groups will be at the fair, along with a Doo Wop hot dog truck, Frosty Paws dog ice cream, and Sparkee, the Somerset Patriot's mascot.

Live music by Family Traditions will be provided, along with animal contests, prizes, and more.
