Pro-Wrestling Star is the Featured Guest at Pediatric Hydrocephalus Benefit

Wrestler Tito Santana is the guest of honor at a spaghetti dinner for the Pediatric Hydrocephalus benefit, which Woodbridge residents Kim and Michael Illions helped found for their son.

Former pro-wrestling superstar and WWE Hall of Fame inductee Tito Santana is going to be the guest celebrity at a spaghetti dinner in Edison on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Santana is appearing at the fundraiser to benefit the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation.

The event is hosted by the family of Jeffrey Westdyke, a five year old who is afflicted with the incurable brain condition. The Westdyke family is one of the founding members of the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation, along with Kim and Michael Illions, Woodbridge residents whose son, Cole, has had 13 brain surgeries to treat the disorder.

Michael Illions’ connection to pro-wrestling goes back to the 1990s when he was the in-ring commissioner for the NWA-NJ organization under the name A.J. Sparxx.  Illions also owned or co-owned New Jack City Wrestling, the American Wrestling Council and the Independent Wrestling Federation, which included the IWF Wrestling School in New Jersey with Kevin Knight.

Illions, among others, traveled to Washington, DC, earlier this year to give Rep. Leonard Lance an award for the help he's given the organization.
