'Pawcasso' Art Auction Benefits Homeless Pets Right Here in Woodbridge

Love animals and want to help? Make plans to attend Angel P.A.W.S. art auction this Saturday in Port Reading.


Angel P.A.W.S., a Colonia-based pet rescue group that lives what it preaches, is holding an art auction fundraiser this Saturday, April 14. The auction will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 436 Port Reading Avenue starting at 8 pm, with a preview at 7 pm.

The annual auction fundraiser features original artwork, sports memorabilia, music collectibles, and a variety of other desirable items, as well as some fun raffles and giveaways. This year, they include New York Yankees Tickets in a suite behind Home Plate, a horseback riding session, Godiva chocolates, and other goodies.

Admission is $15 per person, or $25 a couple, and includes wine, cheese, hors d'oeuvres, coffee, and dessert.

Angel P.A.W.S. is a non-profit group, so donations are tax deductible. They operate a cat-friendly facility where felines can snooze, eat, and roam at will. Dogs are take care of in screened foster homes. They run various pet adoption events, or you can just go to their Petfinder site to see what cats need a home.
