'Go Red for Women' Holds Woodbridge Casting Call

Have you survived heart disease or changed your lifestyle to prevent heart problems? You can be chosen as a Go Red spokeswoman at a Woodbridge Center casting call this Friday.

Do you have a story to share about heart disease? The American Heart Association is holding a casting call for women from all walks of life who will share their stories as spokeswomen for ''.

The casting call will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, from 10 am to 8 pm  in the wing in . Women will be filmed, telling their stories of how they survived heart disease, and how they made healthy life changes such as quitting smoking, losing weight, and exercising more to help prevent cardiovascular disease.

Women who share their stories will be considered for a national spokeswomen opportunity for the Go Red For Women movement. That includes representing Go Red For Women on the American Heart Association website, in collateral materials, and at national events.

In 2010, Pamela Coleman of Whitehouse Station was selected from the New Jersey Go Red For Women Casting Call to serve as one of the national faces of 'Go Red For Women'.  Coleman was featured on the Association’s national website, a Project Runway episode, and the NBC television special, “Speaking Up to Save Lives.”

The event will also include free health screenings, interactive activities, and information on topics important to women, along with giveaways and health presentations.
