Five Things: Bingo in Sewaren, and a Scavenger Hunt

A great opening to a fall weekend in today's Five Things.

  1. It's Kiddie Bingo Time. The is hosting a bingo night for kids from kindergarten through fifth grade. The is open to the whole family. On the first Bingo night set for Nov. 11, children are asked to bring in leftover Halloween candy in sorted baggies to the event. As kids win bingo, they can choose one of the baggies as their prize.   2. Give to veterans. is helping the VFW Foundation with a show of appreciation and financial support. Help a vet by making a $10 via your cell phone: text "RETURN" to 90999. The $10 charge will appear on your bill, and you'll help a vet who deserves your support.

  4. Santa photos at the mall (no, it's not too early.) Stop by through Dec. 24 and have your child with Santa! Photo memories are available with Santa through Christmas Eve and photo packages begin at $22.99. For more information, visit the shopping center website.
  5. Join a scavenger hunt. The New Brunswick City Market is giving out clues, to be released weekly every Tuesday throughout the month of November. Contestants must bring their answers to the New Brunswick City Market table at the 19th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting no later than 6:30 pm and winners will be announced around 7 pm.
