Will it be a Dog and Pony Show, McCormac Style?

The Woodbridge Town Council will be holding its meeting at Woodbridge High School on Tuesday evening at 7 P.M., rather than in the council's chambers at 1 Main Street.

Why the change in venue?  Well, since it will be a joint presentation by the Council and the Woodbridge Board of Education with, undoubtedly, a 'few' words from John McCormac, perhaps they need a bigger stage.

Aside from the council's published "Work Session" schedule (see:http://www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=NbJpzVAWRjE%3d&tabid=325) there is not much more know about the evenings programing.  However, with elections for Woodbridge Town Council and Board of Education seats just days away, one might easily expect to see a real "Dog and Pony Show" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_and_pony_show), McCormac style!

Certainly, attendees can expect to hear lots about all the money and services the McCormac Administration has been bestowing on the Woodbridge School District, for running tracks, maintenance and whatever else might tickle the fancy of some voters.  Just don't expect to hear too much about who's pockets all that has come from, now or in the future.   After all, telling the public how the school district gets denied tax revenues because of municipal "tax abatement programs" would only leave taxpayers wondering why their property taxes continue to go up.

Then too, there are sure to be accolades galore for those candidates, be they town council or BOE, who are part of the "McCormac Team"!

With Halloween coming only two days after this extravaganza, will the meeting be more about 'treats' or 'tricks'?  Let's hope the kids enjoy it!
