They want their Pot!
Medical Marijuana outlets in NJ, just say No, not in my backyard!
In the March 16, 2013 Opinion section of the Home News Tribune (http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2013303130017&nclick_check=1) a Jeff King bemoans Gov. Christ Christie’s “mean-spirited and obstructive manner” in dealing with medical marijuana outlets in New Jersey. To that I say, keep up the good fight governor and kill the idiotic Corzine promulgated folly, before it grows!
Thanks to Woodbridge Township mayor, John McCormac and his minions on the town council, Redevelopment Agency, Planning and Zone Boards, as well as his wealthy Real Estate Broker buddy, McCormac may soon be bloviating over what he has referred to as a “retail outlet”.
Should anyone care to get the records, they might see that the Florida based owners of the forthcoming Woodbridge based medical marijuana shop (retail outlet) were represented by an Florida attorney that, if it is the same individual, is a disbarred attorney. And good luck in finding one of their representatives in an office they supposedly occupy on Main Street in Woodbridge.

Recently, in the ‘for what it is worth column’, one of the top NJ investigators for Medicare/Medicaid fraud warned a group of AARP members how organized crime was moving into the medical industry and out of drug dealing. Apparently, cheating the medical system is easier, safer and more profitable that pushing dope.
And for those that tout the medical benefits and compassionate reasons to support medical marijuana outlets in NJ, do some research. There is more than a little anecdotal evidence to support the ill affect and dangers, to health and communities, from marijuana.

For those tracking what is happening with the pusher of the medical marijuana outlets, it becomes clear that Millions of Dollars, (like $2.9 Million just to buy the building for the outlet in Woodbridge) are being spending by those benevolent shop owners to get their businesses up and distributing. But with their current, registered client base in all of NJ being fewer than 600 people, how will they ever recoup their financial investments.
Here’s a little more food for thought. If the politicians in Trenton really believe their allowing medical marijuana outlets are a humane thing to do, why are they going to tax the product? Bureaucratic greed, perhaps! And how many of the client’s of these humane outlets will be using Medicaid monies to obtain their medicine? Is that a habit NJ can afford?
If there is any real medical benefit to suffering people from the use of medical marijuana, let the Feds approve it and let it be distributed through registered and licensed pharmacies.
Let’s hope Gov. Christi or the Feds kill these outlets, before they grow!
