A Big Mac Thank You!

Big Mac thanked all the Woodbridge taxpayers, home, businesses and landlords alike with a big 'thank you' in a recent mailing.

Hope all the 10,600 + township residents that did, and especially all those that didn’t get out to vote (yes, even the thousand of renters) enjoyed the “thank you” mailing from Big Mac and his minions on the town council.  Oh, if you are looking for something showing the mayor’s likeness or moniker forget it, not on this one!  This ‘thank you’ came in the form of your new tax bill.  Hope you think the use of your tax money (sorry if this very protracted economic downturn is hurting you) for a miniature golf course ($500givingk), a new skate board park (between a church and a seniors residents, in Colonia, for another $500k or so) is worth it.  But less anyone forget, there is also the Snow Dragon (it hid last winter), the $8 or $9 MILLION (in bond debt) for the privilege of now being able to play golf on the (not quite so exclusive anymore) Colonia Country Club (if you can afford it), or the $$$$$ your municipal taxing authority is giving  to your School District taxing authority, for the kids, of course; but, hey, who’s counting? Certainly not the rubber stampers on the Mac council or the Mac devotees on the BOE, most of whom, either directly, or because they have one or more of their family members or friends dependent on the MacMachine for their financial enhancement; hence, their unquestioning homage!

Well ladies and gentlemen, boy and girls, just remember, you haven’t seen the mayor’s newest budget (it’s never on time), and forget about voting on the School Budget, that illusion, such as it was, has gone the way of the Dodo bird!  So, when 1 Main Street completes its acquisition of School Street (check your BOE candidate choices carefully), you may hope the next Big Mac Deal you receive in the mail comes from McDonald’s!!
