Rutgers' Myles Mack Surpasses 1,000 Points in Win Over Central Florida

He now has 1,021 career points following Wednesday night's win over Central Florida.

Rutgers University junior Myles Mack surpassed the 1,000-point plateau Wednesday night.

The guard from Paterson scored 25 points in the men's basketball team's 85-75 win over Central Florida, according to scarletknights.com.

He became the 40th Scarlet Knight to reach the 1,000th point mark, and the first since Dane Miller did so last season. Mack now has 1,021 points for his career. He is the first junior to surpass 1,000 points since Quincy Douby, who played at Rutgers from 2003-06.

Wednesday’s game was also the 14th time in his career Mack has gone over 20 points in a single game, and the sixth time this season. For the year, Mack is averaging 16.3 points per game. He also has 43 total rebounds, 68 assists, four blocks and 31 steals.

Junior guard Jerome Seagers had 18 points in the win over Central Florida. Freshman forward Junior Etou had 14 points, and senior forward Wally Judge had 10 points.

Rutgers improved to 8-9 overall and 2-2 in American Athletic Conference play. Central Florida fell to 9-6 overall, but just 1-3 in the conference.
